You are invited to apply for JAMM’s 2026-27 Teaching Assistant Program. JAMM High School Teaching Assistants will work in tandem with the JAMM teaching staff to oversee the delivery of curriculum, discipline, and general support of JAMM students. This group will:
You are invited to apply for JAMM’s 2026-27 Teaching Assistant Program. JAMM High School Teaching Assistants will work in tandem with the JAMM teaching staff to oversee the delivery of curriculum, discipline, and general support of JAMM students. This group will:
- represent JAMM locally and nationally,
- help organize concerts and community activities,
- coach younger students after school
- continue to participate in music making as model musicians.
- be assigned an ensemble class that they will attend one-two times per week as a support teaching staff.
- be supervised by Meg Rosson, JAMM’s Program Director, and coached by Dr. Heagy, JAMM’s Founder, with the support of Lead Teachers to whom each teaching assistant will be assigned.
- 1-2 Years as a Teaching Assistant with JAMM: $15 per hour
- 3-4 Years as a Teaching Assistant with JAMM: $17 per hour
- Private Lesson Tuition Assistance: up to $600/yr paid directly to your private lesson string teacher on your behalf. Must be working at least 4hrs/week during afterschool club. $300 will be paid in December on successful completion of Fall Semester work. $300 in May on successful completion of Spring Semester work
- Invitation to participate in Professional Development opportunities offered to JAMM teachers
