The Dippers@Glacier Valley: Make the 2nd Verse Official!
The Dippers, a group of students from Glacier Valley Elementary School, worked with Representative Andi Story to draft H.B. 193 to make the 2nd verse of the Alaska Flag Song official. They even wrote a rap! The Dippers believe the adoption of the 2nd verse is important because it is inclusive of all cultures and honors Benny Benson, an Alaskan Native who designed the Alaska flag when he was thirteen years old. Check out the Dippersʼ website for more information.
