At Shí: Songs

At Shí (Songs): Learning Lingít Together @Home & School

Learning any language requires daily practice, both at school and at home. This webpage serves to support families, teachers and community members interested in normalizing the Lingít language by using it every day. Music is one way to help commit new learning to memory, which is why Haa Tóo Yéi Yatee relies heavily upon music as an instructional tool - and itʼs fun!

We will continually update this page by adding songs that help teach the Lingít language. We hope it will be used often at home and school to help our young children advance quickly in their language skills. Gunalchéesh to George Demientieff Holly, Koolyéiḵ Roby Littlefield, Jinkasee.ee Rose Willard, Ed Shaaḵindustoow Littlefield and X̱ʼunei Lance Twitchell for your contributions!
