Day Ten (At Home)

Miss Sophia's Digital Story

Check out this digital story Miss Sophia made about JAMM! What tools did she use to tell her story about JAMM?

Creating a Presentation and Adding Images

Today, you will be collecting images from public domain websites for your digital story. You will first make your own Google Presentation and begin dragging pictures into it. Follow the instructions below to create a Google Presentation and add images to it.

Creating a Google Presentation

Step 1: Go to Google Slides.
Step 2: Select "Go to slides" and log into your school Gmail account. Your email address is your lunch number, then "@juneaustudents.org". So for example, "[email protected]". Your password is "gv123456".
Step 3: Create a new blank presentation and name it "My Digital Autobiography".
Step 4:
Share your presentation with your teacher. Enter in her email address, [email protected].
Step 5: Add slides to your presentation by pressing the + sign at the top left-hand corner of the page.

Adding Images to Your Google Presentation

Step 1: To add images to the presentation, go to one of these sites:
  1. Pixabay
  2. Public Domain Pictures

When you have found a picture you like, drag it directly onto the desktop. Go back to your presentation and drag the image from the desktop directly onto the slide.

If you would like to use pictures of yourself or your family or pictures you have taken, bring them to class tomorrow to add to your presentation.

Homework to Bring to Class

Be prepared to tell your teacher how much progress you have made with your project. Do you have a presentation made? Images and a song selected?
