Ed Littlefield and the Native Jazz Duo

Ed Littlefield grew up in Sitka playing Suzuki violin and is now an award-winning musician who combines two great American creations: Native music and jazz. The Native Jazz Band’s mission is to create new jazz from old songs, using Native American melodies and melodies from Native traditions around the world. This band gives people the chance to rediscover their own music. Ed kindly shared the Hook Song with teachers across Alaska. Gunalchéesh, Ed.
