Secondary Opportunities and Activities
JAMM provides a number of diverse opportunities for middle and high school musicians, continuing to make music accessible and equitable at the secondary level. All opportunities are tuition free! Here are some current opportunities:
Bluegrass Ensemble
Mondays, 3:45-4:45 pm, @ Sitʼ Éeti Shaanax̱ Glacier Valley:
Starting September 19th, JAMM is offering a free Bluegrass ensemble, 3:45-4:45. This class is open to 4th-8th grade string musicians. Students can play guitar, fiddle, or low strings. JAMM will provide a free snack for students at 3:45, prior to the start of orchestra at 4pm.

Middle School Mentors
Wednesdays, 3:45-4:45pm, @ Sitʼ Éeti Shaanax̱ Glacier Valley:
Starting Wednesday, September 21sth, 6th -8th grade orchestra students are invited to help elementary orchestra students at Sitʼ Éeti Shaanax̱ Glacier Valley as teaching assistants during after-school JAMM club on Wednesdays. JAMM will provide a free snack for students at 3:45, prior to the start of orchestra at 4pm.

All Juneau middle school students students are invited to participate in Mariachi Ensemble meeting in the Dzantiki Heení Music Room. Singers, Strings, Strummers, Brass, and Winds are welcome to join. Authentic villahuelas and guittarons may also be available!
