Why JAMM Exploratories?

Exploratories give students opportunities to experience music in multiple ways through these eight-week
sessions, 90 min/wk:
  • Culturally Responsive: Ukulele, Hawaiian Hulu, & African/Tahitian Drumming
  • Creative Technology: Garageband & other programs prepare students for songwriting & recording
  • Movement: folk dance, modern dance and musical theater in partnership with local arts organizations
  • Peer-Mentorship: leadership and peer-mentoring opportunities at all levels of programming, including JAMM alumni from Floyd Dryden volunteering at Glacier Valley and Thunder Mountain freshmen as paid teaching artists
